The City will be closed on Good Friday All city offices, except for police, fire, and 911, will be closed on April 15 th  for Good Friday.   Nominations for the World Games “Circle of Champions” We would love to receive your nomination for The World Games “Circle of Champions.”   To commemorate The World Games, the City of Birmingham, Community Resource Services Division, in partnership with the World Games 2022, will be recognizing 23 individuals who exemplify leadership in their communities. This special recognition is for community change agents who have a long and tangible track record of results and of making an impact in the community in which they live and the industries in which they serve. Those individuals will be asked to sit within The World Games' “Circle of Champions.”  Nominations will be accepted between now through April 22nd. Buffalo Rock Company’s Job Fair/Hiring Event that will be held at the Salvation Army Education and Workforce Development Center on  Thursday, April 7, 2022 from 10am-2pm . 

For Candidates Others That Would like to address our Neighborhood Association at a Neighborhood Association monthly meeting. Here is how to get on the agenda for North Pratt Neighborhood Association: Candidates/others will be permitted to present after the completion of neighborhood business/meeting agenda and are advised to be on the call at 7:10 p.m. They will be called in order of approved "Request To Present" and granted 3-5 minutes to make their presentation and share contact information. The audience should be directed to contact you directly for comments, questions or further information. A Request to Present should be made at least two weeks in advance and can be submitted via text to NorthPratt.AL@gmail.com Include the following: Subject - Candidate Request  To Present Name: Office: Targeted Meeting Date: A reply email will be sent to confirm your appointment. Battlion Fire Chief Jackie Hicks has advised that anytime there is a Tornado Watch the safe houses will be open. Residents can call the public education Division at 205 254 6560 fwoth questions or for more information. When the news weather personnel issues a watch, the shelters will be opened at that time. Stay safe!

  The USFL will host a series of free youth skills clinics at historic Legion Field starting on Saturday March 26th, 10 am-12 pm and Sunday March 27th, 1 pm-3 pm. Birmingham-area youth, ages 5-13 will learn from experienced coaching staff and players on how to incorporate individual and team drills into both offensive and defensive strategies. Great weather for our North Pratt Neighborhood Association Clean Up Day this Saturday March 26 2022! 10a.m. - noon. How it works ... ⭐️ Invite friends, family, your church or other group to join you. ⭐ Meet at One Pratt Park to sign in and pick up equipment. ⭐ Choose a 2- 4 block area for your group.  ⭐ Clean and bag trash. ⭐ Return to One Pratt Park no later than 12 noon to return equipment. Share this notice with someone not on our contact list!

Here's the link . ======= Please list addresses and photos if you have them in the comments of any properties in North Pratt that you have identified that need the city's attention.  That includes vacant lots that are unkept.  Rental properties to properties whose tennis are not being  Also vacant and abandoned houses and property that need demolishing.

We can tske pride in our neighborhood by taking responsibility for what it is and what it should be!  We can lay aside differences and focus on the common goal of a better North Pratt for all! We can each one reach one in passing on integrity, pride  and strength to the next generation and show them the path of true leadership.  We can example a can do attitude and foster the partnerships that can make things happen for us instead of sitting and waiting for things to happen or be given to us. The next time you think someone should .... remember you are "someone" and you have the power. TOGETHER WE CAN !!!
