  United Way’s IDA (Individual Development Account)  program – This is a  matched savings  program for persons seeking to buy a house within Birmingham City limits or to start or grow a small business located in Birmingham.  The participant can receive up to $4000 in grant funds by saving no more than $2000.00.  The attached flyer provides additional information and also a link to learn more about the program as well as a way to apply online.  I have included the link here, too.  This is a limited time situation because the program is nearing its end.  Therefore, we would love for you to share this information with your friends, neighbors, constituents.   www.uwca.org/ida   Financial Education Workshops  – United Way provides regular (generally 2 per month) workshops on a variety of basic financial topics from budgeting to credit to home buying to financial stress busters and many more.  Attached is the flyer for the last workshop of the year, but you can click this link to regularly c
