The Family Sunshine Center provides services for victims of domestic violence, family violence, dating violence, stalking, sexual assault, and human trafficking.  Service sites are located in Autauga, Butler, Chilton, Crenshaw, Dallas, Elmore, Lowndes, Montgomery, Perry, and Wilcox counties.   Our Human Trafficking program serves the entire state of Alabama.  Our mission is to end family violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking; to foster hope and healing; to offer immediate response and a safe haven in crisis; to provide advocacy, counseling, and support for victims; to empower them to lead safe, violence-free lives; and to promote community awareness through education and training.

Hope Haven - Baldwin County

In recognizing the worth and dignity of victims of human trafficking, Hope Haven seeks to minister to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs through love, action, and truth as revealed in God’s Word.  Hope Haven offers immediate shelter to victims of human trafficking.  Residents are provided food, clothing, and a safe secure home in which to live.  Spiritual and emotional counseling is available as well as physical exams as needed.   Hope Haven mentors help residents navigate the journey from victim to survivor.

The WellHouse - Birmingham

The WellHouse is a faith-based and Christ-centered nonprofit organization offering immediate shelter and transitional housing to women who have been trafficked, are prostituting, or otherwise sexually exploited.  Food, clothing, spiritual guidance, Christian counseling, and other necessities are provided, along with assisting with referrals for substance abuse treatment, if needed.   Life skills classes, GED preparation, and other enrichment services are part of the experience to help these women become self-sufficient and give them a sense of self-worth.  The goal is for women to go on to live full and productive lives.
