INFORMATION SESSION ON THE 2022 NEIGHBORHOOD OFFICER ELECTION

CRS is planning a WebEx information session on the 2022 neighborhood officer election on Thursday, January 20th and Tuesday, January 25th. These information sessions are for current neighborhood officers, those with a desire to serve as an officer, and residents just curious about the election process. HEALTHY FOOD BOXES AND COVID VACCINES

See attachment for details on the food give-a-way on Friday, January 14, 2021 from 1pm to 3 pm. Volunteers are also welcome from 12pm to 3pm.

 

YWCA FOOD DISTRIBUTION

There will be food distribution at the Northeast YMCA on Tuesday, January 11th from 10:00 am until Noon. See attached flyer for the additional dates and details.

The City will be closed on Good Friday All city offices, except for police, fire, and 911, will be closed on April 15 th  for Good Friday.   Nominations for the World Games “Circle of Champions” We would love to receive your nomination for The World Games “Circle of Champions.”   To commemorate The World Games, the City of Birmingham, Community Resource Services Division, in partnership with the World Games 2022, will be recognizing 23 individuals who exemplify leadership in their communities. This special recognition is for community change agents who have a long and tangible track record of results and of making an impact in the community in which they live and the industries in which they serve. Those individuals will be asked to sit within The World Games' “Circle of Champions.”  Nominations will be accepted between now through April 22nd. If you work in public service or have worked in public service at some point since October 2007, you may be eligible for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program. The rules for who's eligible are currently broader than before, so even if you've been denied in the past, you may now be eligible.
