NEIGHBORHOOD ASSOCIATION TOWN HALL MEETING

Mayor Woodfin is hosting a Neighborhood Association Town Hall meeting with all neighborhood officers on tomorrow, Wednesday, December 15th at 5:30 PM at Bill Harris Arena. We hope to see you all there!

 

PY 2022 ACTION PLAN

Community Development is in the process of planning for the development of the PY 2022 Action Plan. During this process public hearings are held to obtain recommendations for the use of funds, answer questions regarding the process, and obtain proposals. The links to the public hearings are below. JEFFERSON COUNTY FAMILY RESOURCE CENTER FOOD BOX DISTRIBUTION DRIVE

Jefferson County Family Resource Center is having a Food box Distribution on Friday, December 17, 2021 from 12:00 pm – 4:00 pm at 12 – 2nd Court North, Birmingham, AL 35204. See flyer for details.

 

BIRMINGHAM FIRE AND RESCUE TOY DRIVE

Birmingham Fire and Rescue is collecting coats, unwrapped toys, bikes and donations for Birmingham children in need, now through Sunday, December 19th. Items may be dropped off at any Birmingham Fire & Rescue Station from 8:00 am until 8:00 pm

BIG surprises are in store for Ursula Smith Dance Company’s Brown Sugar Nutcracker, which will be presented on Dec. 18 at 7:30 p.m. and Dec. 19 at 4 p.m. at 800- 19th St. North. Go here for more info.

The City will be closed on Good Friday All city offices, except for police, fire, and 911, will be closed on April 15 th  for Good Friday.   Nominations for the World Games “Circle of Champions” We would love to receive your nomination for The World Games “Circle of Champions.”   To commemorate The World Games, the City of Birmingham, Community Resource Services Division, in partnership with the World Games 2022, will be recognizing 23 individuals who exemplify leadership in their communities. This special recognition is for community change agents who have a long and tangible track record of results and of making an impact in the community in which they live and the industries in which they serve. Those individuals will be asked to sit within The World Games' “Circle of Champions.”  Nominations will be accepted between now through April 22nd.
