  United Way’s IDA (Individual Development Account)  program – This is a  matched savings  program for persons seeking to buy a house within Birmingham City limits or to start or grow a small business located in Birmingham.  The participant can receive up to $4000 in grant funds by saving no more than $2000.00.  The attached flyer provides additional information and also a link to learn more about the program as well as a way to apply online.  I have included the link here, too.  This is a limited time situation because the program is nearing its end.  Therefore, we would love for you to share this information with your friends, neighbors, constituents.   www.uwca.org/ida   Financial Education Workshops  – United Way provides regular (generally 2 per month) workshops on a variety of basic financial topics from budgeting to credit to home buying to financial stress busters and many more.  Attached is the flyer for the ...
