We'd like to congratulate our newly elected secretary, Jadon Abraham on taking a contract postion assisting our District 9 Councilors office. His resignation leaves the North Pratt Neighborhood Association Secretary position vacant after only one month's service. An active and capable individual in this position is critical to our success to make North Pratt a safe, stable, desirable and progressive place to live, play and work. Duties include: ■ Attend monthly meetings, officer, and committee meetings, take notes, prepare and submit meeting minutes. ■ Prepare monthly meeting agenda ■ Attend trainings and events hosted by the city for neighborhoods. ■ Disseminate information to residents. Assist with blogsite updates, managing meeting setup, keeping residents informed. ■ Preserve all records.   A huge SHOUT OUT to Andra "Michelle" Perkins, Past President and current Vice President of North Pratt Neighborhood Association. Michelle served tirelessly for the past two plus years.  She was a regular visitor at city hall, at times weekly, making sure that North Pratt issues were addressed. She spent money out of pocket and incurred hundreds of miles unreimbursed. She was often on the phone and in meetings with various city leaders on behalf of North Pratt neighborhood. Michelle also volunteered with Village Creek Society, District 9 and other neighborhood's projects. She is a graduate of the second class of Birmingham's Academy of Civic Engagement (ACE) and a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) volunteer and hosts community shelter openings during Tornado events.
